"Cheers to Burj” by Praveen Prabhakar & Photography

Hi All,

Another Friday, and everyone gearing to go into a wonderful weekend!!! And I thought let me take you to the Tallest Building the world!! The one structure that has so many records to its name, an architectural marvel, formerly known as “Burj Dubai” later renamed to “Burj Khalifa” , after the King of Abudhabi ( brother of the kind of Dubai) who helped Dubai during the time of economic recession!!.

Location : The Burj Khalifa, DUBAI

Story:  For those who visit Dubai, this gigantic building has become a must visit location. You will have to see it to believe how tall the building is.!!! Its 828 m (2,717 ft) tall!!! Yes… it has 163 floors!!! :o the previous highest being 108.  You are sure to get pain in your….neck if you decide to stand close it to and look at it.!!

and that day we were going to the TOP…not the 163rd but, to 124th floor of the Burj!!! And the fee was 150dhs :o But, for the experience of a life time that was ok… :) So me,mom, dad, and my brother, we had taken tickets in advance to go to the top!!! We entered the Dubai Mall, World’s Largest mall, did some shopping, spent some time , because the time for entry into Burj Khalifa was somewhere around 2:30 according to our booking.

At 2 we joined the people who were waiting for the elevator that wil take us to the TOP. !!! I thought it should take atleast 30 minutes in the queue and another 15 minutes to reach to the 124th floor. That’s a lot of wait time!!! . After some 20 minutes in the queue it was our turn to get into the elevator. There were some 30 people in the big elevator. Some music keeps playing, and lights flashing inside the elevator, with the countdown to the 124th floor began.  It took ONLY 1 Minute exactly for us to reach to the 124th floor!!!! The fastest climb up ever in my life. Awesome!!! .

At the top you get the 360 degree sweeping view of the Dubai town, and from there it feels like you are looking at the future!!

We spent an Hour looking at the land below and the tiny people and cars that move. It was exciting. Worth the 150dhs. Really!!.

We came down, and on the way back, all I was thinking was how to capture this mighty building in one frame and make it look tiny?.? Something different?… As we passed by some shop that sold Crystal pots and glasses, I felt why not try this!!! And after trying almost for 1.5hours, with the help from dad,mom and brother, I got this shot.

 Title : “Cheers to Burj”

So, I had captured the Tallest Building in a small Glass of water!!!

Interpretation :   “Nothing in life is as big as you think. It just depends on how you decide to look at it.”

“Never let a problem scare you!!! Just, change the way you handle it, and you will be out of it in no time!!! ”

Thank you Guys for taking you time and reading this. Do keep sending the feedbacks. Will try to get new clicks this weekend.!! Keep praying, keep supporting!! have an awesome weekend.

Cheers,
